Dragonsmeade Full Spectrum

We are so happy with Dragonsmeade Alinea that we repeated the cross between Donatella and Hollybrook Stage Rage. Scotty is a refined and flashy horse! His confirmation is correct, and his neck is long. We are eager to watch him grow up!

Dragonsmeade Fusion

We have been thrilled with Fusion. He is a true park horse in every sense and he commands attention every time he enters the ring. He is one of the best horses we’ve bred. Among his many regional championships all over the country Fusion is the 2007 World Champion in the Amateur Park Harness division and is also the 2008 Reserve World Champion in Open Park Harness.  We have been lucky to have him sire two colts and one filly for our farm.  He has proven to be an excellent producer.  Jr. is one of our family favorites!

Dragonsmeade Ginger Snap

We are thrilled with the first foal out of Dragonsmeade Tammany Hall! Emma’s registered name is perfect for her. She is smart, and she is spicey. Emma has a similar neck and silhouette to her sire, and she is also similar in look to her maternal grandsire Beethoven.

Dragonsmeade Hereafter

From the moment Michaela was on the ground she was exotic and refined.  She is coal black and inherited her sire’s curvy and long neck, while also inheriting her dam’s athleticism.  2014 was her first year showing and she had a great year after winning regional and two competitive world championship classes in two consecutive years in classic pleasure driving! Since Michaela has true pleasure motion we decided to move her to the hunter division. She won at her debut show!

Dragonsmeade Hot Type

We are happy to have Crush in our 2015 foal crop! He is the first foal out of Royal Treatment by Icon and we are happy with him! He has a very similar look to his World Champion sire and we see a bit of Trophy in his look too! He is hot, hot, and smart! Crush is fun to watch as he puts his neck straight up and marches through the fields.

Dragonsmeade Ibarra

Ibarra’s dam, Simply Apropos, routinely produces foals with a lot of quality so we are happy to have another daughter in our foundation brood mare herd. Ibarra is one of the best foals from the 2006 season. Due to a minor injury to her tail Ibarra was not able to be shown, however, with the quality of her foals she is now one of the most important mares in our breeding program.  Tequila had a beautiful brown colt by Icon by her side for the 2013 season, and she had an elegant black colt by Axios by her side for 2014. She had a beautiful colt by Icon in 2015. Tequila had a beautiful filly by Axios in 2016. She is due to have a colt by Icon in 2018.

Dragonsmeade Icon

2009, 2010, 2012 World Champion Park Saddle Amateur
2015 World Champion Pleasure Driving

Onyx is the first of this cross. He is one of the best colts we’ve bred, and he is a near perfect mix of Mizrahi and Obsidian with his exotic head, smooth body, and dynamic park motion.  Under the direction of Tim Roesink his record is unparalleled.  His first foal crop starting in 2010 is proving to be most impressive.

Dragonsmeade Iconic Fusion

When we bred our world champion producer, Cedar Creek Pirouette, to our multiple World Champion Dragonsmeade Icon, one of our “dream crosses” is now checked! Pirouette is the dam of world champions Dragonsmeade Fusion, Dragonsmeade’s Infusion, and Dragonsmeade Belle du Jour so breeding her to our HVK Bell Flaire line bred stallion, Icon, would be an obvious choice.  Colin is every bit as handsome as we envisioned…. He is big, leggy, and his shoulder has the perfect angle.

Dragonsmeade Idlewild

We made the difficult decision to sell Idlewild in our 2011 CopperDragon Sale, but we were given the opportunity to buy her back recently so we jumped at the chance.  She has size and beautiful Morgan mare type.  We are thrilled that Idlewild has a beautiful filly by our multi World Champion Dragonsmeade Icon for 2014.

Dragonsmeade Indochine

The first foal we have out of Aria, by Axios, is Merida! She has a beautiful shoulder and a long length of leg and neck.  Her motion is crisp and clean. She is one of our favorite fillies from the 2013 foal crop! Merida’s head is the perfect combination of her grand sires And The Beat Goes On and Beethoven. We also see a lot of her maternal grand dam Queen’s Estelle in her look too.
