He possesses elegant stretch while perfectly maintaining the classic Morgan type we favor.
This gorgeous filly by Liquid Assets out of Infusion has completely delivered on the look and quality we hoped for when we dreamed up this cross! “Shonda” had the perfect blend of size and beauty for the yearling classes at the 2025 Morgan Grand Nationals. We are still over the moon that she went on to place third in two huge, incredibly competitive classes!
The 2023 breeding season offered us the exciting opportunity to pair our young homebred stallions with our premier homebred mares. High on our list was crossing the multi-World Champion, Dragonsmeade Griffin, with our exceptional Axios daughters. A standout match was Moxie—the only full sister to Dragonsmeade Kept Secret GCH and Dragonsmeade Dark ‘N Stormy, out of our bedrock foundation mare, Simply Apropos. The result of this deliberate pairing, Griffin and Moxie’s first foal, Halcyon, has far exceeded our highest expectations.
Inception is a talented and dynamic gelding who embodies the ideal show horse—he has that desirable “show horse hot” engine, balanced beautifully by a sensible mind and a highly trainable attitude. His maternal grandsire brings one of our all-time favorite park horses, Dragonsmeade Fusion, right back to the forefront of his pedigree. He is going to be an absolute blast to watch in the show ring!
The 2023 season marked the exciting breeding debut of Dragonsmeade Invictus, a year we approached with a meticulous selection of elite mares such as HVK Noble Ring. Thanks to a premier lease partnership established that same year with our close friends at Kohler Stables, this handsome gelding was born in 2024. Valdisere is a beautiful testament to the cross, showcasing correct conformation, a smooth, flawless body, and a commanding presence.
